Wandering lights
According to the Slavic myth of wandering lights, they are luminous objects or phenomena associated with the souls of the deceased, forced to roam the earth. These lights are considered ominous, as they can lure living people with their glow, and those who follow them lose connection with the real world and may disappear in forests, swamps, or rivers.
The wandering light is an allegory of human aspiration for light in the external world and the informational field. In the modern world, humans resemble travelers confronting uncertainty and numerous options. They seek landmarks in the surrounding environment, where each such “light” represents an opportunity for choice.
